Osokey was started by four geoscientists who shared the frustration of not being able to easily access and collaborate on their data.

We saw the benefits of cloud technology and we have developed solutions that are leading to the democratisation of data, with everyone having equal access to data and compute. Within the energy industry, geoscience data is large, complex and difficult to handle, which made it a perfect candidate for public cloud-based solutions.

Our solutions are web-based, allowing data to be accessed anytime and anywhere. Think of it as Google maps for geoscientists’ data. We are passionate about keeping our products simple and intuitive to use, enabling everyone to use them and contribute their expertise regardless of their IT competency level.

By focusing on improved data access and collaboration, we are changing the traditional ways of working within the industry. Bringing more people to the data and encouraging the sharing of ideas has the potential to generate new ideas and lead to scientific breakthroughs. It is exciting to think that we are playing a role in making that happen.
